A motorcyclist was injured when he rear-ended a tractor-trailer on Kroemer Avenue this morning at about 6:30 a.m.
Both vehicles were northbound on Kroemer near the railroad crossing just north of West Main Street.
The bike operator, a male in his 50s, was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center by Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps for non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
