Eight people, including three local residents and a man wanted on a Riverhead Justice Court bench warrant, were arrested on prostitution and drug charges during a joint raid on a Hampton Bays home Tuesday night by New York State Police and the East End Drug Task Force.
A state police narcotics enforcement unit and officers from the Suffolk District Attorney’s Office East End Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 87 Foster Avenue in Hampton Bays just before 7 p.m. Tuesday, according to a NYS Police press release.
The warrant was executed as part of an investigation into drug sales and prostitution in the area, police said.
Officers recovered quantities of marijuana, cocaine and cash during the search, according to the release.
According to the police report:
Wilmer I. Neira, 21, a resident of the house, was charged with promoting prostitution in the third degree, a class D felony. Neira was arraigned in Southampton Town Justice Court and remanded to the Suffolk County jail in lieu of $7,500 cash bail.
Julian Alberto, 39, of 10470 Main Road, Mattituck, was charged with patronizing a prostitute in the third degree, a class A misdemeanor. Alberto was arraigned in Southampton Town Justice Court and remanded to the Suffolk County jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.
Fredy Oswaldo Espana-Tubac, 23, of 50 Flanders Boulevard South, Flanders, was charged with patronizing a prostitute in the third degree, a class A misdemeanor. Espana-Tubac was arraigned in Southampton Town Justice Court and remanded to the Suffolk County jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail. The Department of Homeland Security, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement has lodged a warrant of removal/deportation for Espana-Tubac, police said.
Israel Bustillo, 19, of 424 Flanders Road, Riverhead, was charged with promoting prostitution in the third degree, a class D felony and with criminal possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) in the seventh degree. Bustillo was arraigned in Southampton Town Justice Court and remanded to the Suffolk County jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail.
Christian Diaz Paz, 21, whose address was not provided by police, was charged with promoting prostitution in the third degree, a class D felony, criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree, a class D felony and false personation, a class B misdemeanor. Diaz Paz was also wanted on bench warrants out of the Town of Riverhead (criminal trespass in the second degree and reckless driving) and the Town of Southampton (unlawful possession of marijuana), according to the police report.
He was arraigned in Southampton Town Justice Court and remanded to the Suffolk County jail in lieu of $30,000 cash bail. The Department of Homeland Security, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement has lodged a warrant of removal/deportation for the subject, police said.
Alondra Rivera, 20, of 20 Richman Place, Bronx was charged with prostitution, a class B misdemeanor. She was issued an appearance ticket returnable in the Southampton Town Justice Court.
Flora Cabral Taveras, 41, of 587 53rd Street, West New York, New Jersey, was charged with prostitution, a class B misdemeanor. She was issued an appearance ticket returnable in the Southampton Town Justice Court.
Maria Bustillo, 20, a resident of the house raided by police, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation
She was issued an appearance ticket returnable in the Southampton Town Justice Court.
