Riverhead’s Recreation Department has some spooky Halloween activities planned this week for the town’s youngsters.

On Thursday, Oct. 26 and Friday, Oct. 27 between 5 and 7 pm the Rec Department will be holding a Haunted House event at the TAG building, 165 Columbus Avenue, (Stotzky Park). Tickets are $ 2 per entrant. According to rec personnel, the Haunted House “contains elements of spooky gore” and is geared for kids in fourth grade and up.

Each night after the Haunted House kids are invited to join a free event.are invited to join a free event.

Thursday night at the hockey rink there will be a Monster Mash Roller Disco between 6 and 8 pm Skaters are encouraged to wear costumes, but for safety sake in the long or loose fitting costumes will be allowed. Friday’s activity will be a Halloween drive-in movie at Stotzky Park in the parking lot at 7 p.m. featuring Hotel Transylvania 2. Watch the movie in the comfort of your own car as the sound comes through your speakers or bring a chair and blanket and watch it outside

Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult aged 21 or over at all events.
