Police are asking the public’s help to identify and locate a man who they say stole phones from a Riverhead store earlier this year.
Riverhead Town Police said that a man went to the AT&T store located at 1111 Old Country Road in Riverhead on March 8 at 4:10 p.m. and stole three Apple iPhones. The man is now wanted for grand larceny.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead Town Police released two surveillance camera images of the alleged burglar and offer a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS, text “SCPD” and your message to “CRIMES” (274637) or by email at tipsubmit.com.
All calls, text messages and emails will be kept confidential, police said.
Editor’s note: A criminal charge is an accusation. By law, a person charged with a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
