Three people were injured in a crash the intersection of Manor Road and Twomey Avenue in Calverton this afternoon. All victims were transported by ambulance to area hospitals.
A Range Rover southbound on Twomey Avenue entered the intersection at Manor Road and collided with a westbound Cadillac at about 12:45 p.m.
A female front-seat passenger in the Cadillac was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. EMS had initially requested a aviation but decided to take the patient by ambulance.
The driver of the Cadillac and the driver of the Range Rover were both taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center by Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
No summonses were issued at the scene, police said. The accident remained under investigation.
