Physical Therapy and Beyond/Healing Hands Massage Therapy snipped the ceremonial red ribbon this week to celebrate the opening of its new Main Street, Riverhead location.

Owner Cindi Prentiss and staff were joined by Riverhead Town Deputy Supervisor Tim Hubbard, Councilwoman Jodi Giglio and Councilwoman Catherine Kent for the ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday.

The new location is the company’s fourth, Prentiss said.

“Our licensed, extensively trained physical therapists and massage therapists provide our patients with the highest quality care, allowing them to resume their normal, active lifestyle,” she said.

The physical therapists are McKenzie-certified spine and extremities specialists, an internationally recognized treatment method which for all musculoskeletal problems, including neck and back pain, arthritis, sciatica, degenerative disc disease, and more, Prentiss said.

They are also Schroth scoliosis-certified, an innovative treatment that employs various exercises to halt curve progression, reduce pain, improve posture, strength and lung function in scoliosis patients of all ages, she said.

Healing Hands Massage Therapy provides licensed massage therapists.

“We are passionate about the benefits of all massage techniques, incorporating a soothing, beautiful space in our new Riverhead location,” Prentiss said. Pregnancy tables are available, she said.
