A wind advisory is in effect for the East End today as strong west winds of 30 to 30 mph are expected to gust to 50 mph this morning, with isolated gusts of 55 mph possible, according to the National Weather Service.
The strongest winds are anticipated between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The winds are associated with a cold front passing through the area late this morning into early afternoon. Wind direction will shift to the northwest as the front passes.
High temperatures this morning are in the low 50s. Temperature will falling into the mid 40s this afternoon and dip into the upper 20s tonight.
