William Bilski of Riverhead, died Oct. 6, 2026 in Riverhead. Bilski was a 68-year member and ex-chief of the Riverhead Fire Department. He was a former fire district commissioner. Read full obituary.
Bilski was also a member of the department’s Iron Man Racing Team.
Following firematic services at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead, a fire department cortege transported Bilski’s casket to St. Isidore’s Cemetery in Riverhead Friday morning, passing Station One and department headquarters on the way. The cortege included the Iron Man Racing Team’s truck.
