Plastic Reduction and Elimination Project seeks Maritime Festival volunteers

The Plastic Reduction and Elimination Project will meet today, Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 6:30 p.m. at the Peconic Lane Community Center in Peconic.

The group, a joint effort with the North Fork Environmental Council and North Fork Audubon Society, will discuss volunteer opportunities at the Maritime Festival, Sept. 21-22, to educate the public about the risks of single-use plastics.
