There will be an enhanced risk of fire spread today with gusty winds and low relative humidity, the National Weather Service said in a statement this morning.
Winds will be out of the north to northeast at 10 to 20 mph with gusts mainly between 20 and 30 mph. Relative humidity is expected be around 15-25%.
The weather service has also issued a coastal flood advisory for eastern Suffolk County tomorrow. It will be in effect from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Up to one foot of inundation above ground level is possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.
The combination of elevated water levels and rough seas along the ocean beachfront and north-facing beachfronts elsewhere should also result in significant beach erosion and localized splash-overs around the times of high tide.
Minor coastal flooding and additional beach erosion are also possible around the times of high tide from Sunday night through Monday night.
