In lieu of the traditional Long Island String Festival Association Chamber Music Festival, students in chamber orchestra at Riverhead High School participated in a virtual workshop with professional musicians on May 21.

Members of the Cali Chamber Players provided a presentation and performance of Franz Schubert’s “Cello Quintet.” The students were then coached by the first violinist of the Cali Chamber Players, Ilmar Gavilán. The students were given insightful tips and techniques.
