Frederick Miles Sr. of Riverhead died on Oct. 2, 2021 at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead. He was 79 years old.
He was born on April 26, 1942 in Powhatan, Virginia to Clarence Miles and Pearl Brown. He worked as a driver for the New York State Department of Transportation.
He is predeceased by two brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife Frederica, children Darryl, Darleen Brown, Frederica, Valerie Murray, Frederick Jr., Anthony Sr. and Curtis Edwards, 32 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and five brothers.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Oct. 11 from 10 to 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Riverhead, where a funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. (following visitation.). Interment will follow at Riverhead Cemetery.
