Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Southampton Town Police Department detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the driver of a vehicle that fled the scene of an accident involving serious injuries in the hamlet of Riverside Thursday.

A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured while crossing the roadway in front of #269 Riverleigh Ave., on Oct. 7 at 7:09 p.m., police said in a press release today. The vehicle is described as a two-tone, white and black, Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck. After striking the pedestrian, the driver of the vehicle continued southbound on Riverleigh Avenue (CR-104) without stopping or reporting this incident.

Anyone with information about this incident can contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, using the P3 Tips a mobile app (P3Tips.com) or emailing crimestoppers@suffolkcountyny.gov. All calls and messages messages will be kept confidential, police said.
