Riverhead’s annual Santa parade and bonfire has been postponed to next Saturday, Dec. 18, due to weather concerns, according to the Business Improvement District.

Saturday night’s weather forecast shows a 60% chance of rain showers in Riverhead, according to the National Weather Service. 

The events will follow the same schedule as advertised for this Saturday, with the 69th Riverhead Lions Club Holiday Parade stepping off at 3 p.m. on West Main Street and ending at the Peconic Riverfront community around 4 p.m., where Santa will be available for pictures at his gingerbread house from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m…
