A Riverhead man was arrested on a felony impaired driving charge following a crash on Flanders Road yesterday afternoon, Southampton Town Police said.
Police charged Daniel Schilpp, 34, with Driving While Ability impaired By Drugs, a felony due to a prior conviction, police said.
Schilpp was involved in a crash on Flanders Road in Flanders at about 3:15 p.m. yesterday, police said in a press release last night. Responding patrol officers determined Schilpp was operating his vehicle under the influence of drugs at the time of the collision.
Police did not report any injuries.
Schilpp was processed at Southampton Town Police Headquarters and held for morning arraignment, according to the report.
