Norwood T. Bland of Riverhead died on June 28, 2024, at Hamptons Center. He was 52 years old.
Born in Riverhead on March 3, 1972, he was the son of Martha (Mayo) and Norwood T. Bland Sr. He graduated from Riverhead High School. He went on to work as a service agent at Enterprise in Southampton. His family said he had a passion for working on car sound systems, building fish ponds, and landscaping. He also loved working on IT projects.
Predeceased by his mother, he is survived by his father, Norwood Sr. of Riverhead; his wife of 27 years Jawanda (Clemons) of Riverhead; his children, Kira, Natara, Daiquan, Savannah, and Kimora; his siblings, Sharon Gilbert and Alison Bland. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 6, from 9 to 10 a.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead, where a funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Riverhead Cemetery.
