All 21 retail establishments checked by Riverhead Police on Wednesday were found to be in compliance during an enforcement operation targeting the sale of alcohol to underage customers, police said.
The Riverhead Police Department’s Community Oriented Policing Enforcement (COPE) Division, in cooperation with the Riverhead Community Awareness Program (CAP), conducted the compliance checks on June 17 in an effort to reduce the sale of alcohol products to people under age 21, according to a police press release.
The following locations were checked and found to be in compliance, police said:

- 6324 NY-25A, Unit 4, Wading River (The Thirsty Cellar)
- 6305 NY-25A, Wading River (Speedway)
- 5904 NY-25A, Wading River (Valero)
- 4670 NY-25, Calverton (BP)
- 4129 Middle Country Road, Calverton (Sunoco)
- 3705 Middle Country Road, Calverton (Mobil)
- 1879 Old Country Road, Riverhead (Sunoco)
- 1866 Old Country Road, Riverhead (Riverhead Liquor Mart)
- 1575 Old Country Road, Riverhead (Mobil)
- 1356 Old Country Road, Riverhead (Valero)
- 1050 Osborn Avenue, Riverhead (Empire)
- 1096 Old Country Road, Riverhead (Roanoke Plaza Liquor)
- 870 Old Country Road, Riverhead (Speedway)
- 757 Old Country Road, Riverhead (Wine Mart Fine Wine & Spirits)
- 84 Old Country Road, Riverhead (Peconic Wine and Liquor)
- 640 Main Road, Riverhead (Empire)
- 1527 Main Road, Jamesport (Jamesport Liquor)
- 802 E. Main Street, Riverhead (Michael’s Liquors)
- 415 E. Main Street, Riverhead (Mobil)
- 134 W. Main Street, Riverhead (Lucky Liquor)
