Assemblywoman Jodi Giglio is hosting a blood drive tomorrow at the Hotel Indigo, 1830 W. Main St., from 2:30 to 7 p.m. For every donation of blood in March, the New York Blood Center will make a donation to Feeding New York State.

Seasonal blood supply shortages have worsened with the omicron surge this winter. Donations are needed more than ever. The Flanders Fire Department and FRNCA have teamed up to host a community blood drive Sunday, Jan. 30 at the Flanders Men's Club.

Donating blood is fast, safe and easy. According to the American Red Cross, a pint of blood can save three lives.

The blood drive will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 5 at the Evans K. Griffing County Center. All donors will receive a certificate for a free pint of Baskin-Robbins ice cream.
