Council for Unity

The Riverhead school district’s Black History Month celebration packed the house last night at Riverhead High School, where children and elders came together to celebrate African-American heritage, culture and achievements.

Suffolk County Sheriff Vincent DeMarco hosted officials from the New York City Department of Correction and Rikers Island this week, who visited the Riverhead jail to learn more about programs like the Council for Unity and Youth Tier programs.
