Owners of Riverhead aquarium and hotel tell Riverhead IDA the aquarium would close without further tax breaks. They seek a 10-year extension of tax abatement, which sunsets in four years, and also more tax breaks on a new 'boutique' hotel they hope to build across the street from their complex.

Long Island Aquarium owner Joseph Petrocelli announced plans today to transform a 113-year-old Main Street building into what he believes will be “the number one restaurant on Long Island.”

"He deserves better than butter and bibs," said 10-year-old Wyatt when he first saw the lobster at Braun Seafood in Cutchogue.
