Overnight closures on NY-25 in Calverton are set to begin April 16 as resurfacing work starts on Middle Country Road.

River Road between Edwards Avenue and NY Route 25 will be closed to all but local traffic today and tomorrow for paving.

The Riverhead Highway Department will be repaving Middle Road from Northville Tpk. to Roanoke Ave. and from Osborn Ave. to Mill Rd. Monday and Tuesday. The road will be closed to most traffic in those areas while the project is underway.

Paving on Wading River-Manor Road originally scheduled for Monday has been postponed to Wednesday due to Monday's inclement weather forecast, Riverhead Highway Superintendent Mike Zaleski said Friday afternoon.

Railroad Avenue between Griffing and Osborn avenues will be closed to traffic for paving for most of the day Monday beginning at 7 a.m.

Paving work on Sound Avenue today between Doctors Path and Herricks Lane may close lanes and cause delays. Riverhead Highway Superintendent Mike Zaleski said motorist should use alternate routes to avoid the area today. Work was scheduled to get underway at 7 a.m., Zaleski said, and will continue throughout the day.

North Country Road between Wading River Manor Road and North Wading River Road will be closed for paving tomorrow to all but local traffic, Riverhead Highway Superintendent Mike Zaleski said today.

There will be lane closures on Sound Avenue in Baiting Hollow today and tomorrow, as the conducts paving work in the area.

Sections of Middle Road, Park Road, Roanoke Avenue and Sound Avenue are scheduled for paving Tuesday and Wednesday. Roads will be closed to all but local traffic.

“We’ll get started in the morning and it should only take a few hours total,” Riverhead Highway Superintendent Gio Woodson said.
