All 17 locations in Riverhead Town checked by the Riverhead Town Police COPE unit were found to be in compliance with state regulations governing the sale of alcohol.

Though permitted only as an "eating place" the owners were running a night club/tavern, where they employed women to entertain male patrons and induce them to buy alcohol, according to a state administrative law judge, who ruled that numerous violations and incidents at the premises caused it to become "a focal point of police attention" that should be shut down.
