Talmage Farm Agway hosts an annual "Pet Santa" day for folks who want to celebrate the holiday with a picture of Santa and their four-legged friends.

Santa posed with pets of all shapes and sizes and their families at the free annual event, which drew such a crowd Saturday morning that the line nearly went out the door and into the snow. 

Yesterday was "Chick Day" at Talmage Farm Agway in Riverhead and the event drew hundreds of people to the Osborn Avenue store to learn about raising chickens — and to get an up-close look at baby chicks.

Santa sat, cuddled, petted and posed with all the animals today at Agway, and each visitor went away with a Christmas stocking.

Talmage Farm Agway has grown into a local resource for lawn and garden supplies, pet supplies and food, bird feeders, houses and bird seed in the area and high quality plant material.
