Video of the New York State Liquor Authority’s Nov. 3  emergency suspension disciplinary proceeding against the owner of Casa Rica Restaurant  Sports Bar at 65 E. Main St. in Riverhead.

As first reported by RiverheadLOCAL.com yesterday (see story), the three-member board of commissioners voted unanimously to immediately suspend Casa Rica’s liquor license, following a presentation by an SLA senior attorney of a litany of trouble at the bar, which has been open less than two years. He called the premises “a bucket of blood.”

Riverhead police and the SLA served the suspension notice on the bar operator last night at about 9:20 p.m., according to a police press release issued this morning.
