The Riverhead Faculty and Community Theatre presents its 2012 production of 9 to 5 the Musical, Nov. 9-17.

The year is 1979 and Violet (Jan McKenna) is a secretary with Consolidated. It is her job to train the new girl, Judy (Jane Freeman) whose husband, Dick (Glenn Abramowitz) just left her. Meanwhile, Doralee (Kimet Speed) tries to hold off the advances of the boss Franklin Hart, Jr. (James Zay). Roz Keith (Laura Nitti) secretly worships Hart and keeps a vigilant eye on the secretarial staff. Dwayne (Ricky Sicoli) is Doralee’s faithful husband and Missy (Sue Ehlers) is Hart’s long suffering wife. Josh (‘Aleki Lui) is Violet’s teenage son and Joe (Brandon Hollborn) is her younger office co-worker, who wants to take their relationship to the next level.

Also in the cast are Becca Mincieli (Maria), Meagan Schmid (Kathy), Patti Hautsch (Margaret), Rowland Hautsch (Bob Enright), Peter Dunbar (Tinsworthy), Chip Sullivan (Detective), Amanda Mouzakes (Candy Striper) and Siri Fink (new employee). The ensemble is rounded out with Kathleen Cohihan, Kathryn Weaver, Corinne Araneo, Tony Peraza, Peter Nolan and Pat Speed.

The production staff is headed by director Michael Horn, who is also the set designer, and includes choreographer Anita Boyer, musical director Marguerite Volonts, stage manager Phil Centonze, costume coordinator Pat Speed and producer Patti Hautsch.

All performances take place at the Charles Cardona Auditorium, at the Riverhead High School, 700 Harrison Ave., Riverhead. Show times are Nov. 9, 10, 16 and 17 at 8 p.m. with a matinee on Sunday Nov. 11, at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 in advance and can be obtained from any cast member, Wedel Signs, 705 Main St. and J. RFCT has been delighting show goers since 1980, staging 32 adult shows and four youth productions. They have distributed over $100,000 in scholarships and awards. In addition, they have supported the arts within the Riverhead Central School District, through various projects and equipment donations.
