Both drivers in a two-car accident were sent to the hospital after a crash at the intersection of Kroemer Avenue and West Main Street Wednesday afternoon, according to Riverhead Town Police.
At 12:55 p.m. a tan Jeep Compass, northbound on Forge Road, collided with a black Ford Freestyle eastbound on Route 25, police said.
The drivers, who were the only occupants in their vehicles, were both transported by Riverhead Town Volunteer Ambulance Corps to Peconic Bay Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, according to officials at the scene of the accident.
