First graders at Roanoke Avenue Elementary School gave thanks at their annual Thanksgiving feast this afternoon.

The feast is a tradition at the K-4 building and is paired with classroom lessons on the history of Thanksgiving, principal Thomas Payton said.

All food was provided by parents of the first grade students for the potluck-style lunch.
