Rural & Migrant Ministry will host Cultivating Justice & Growing Together, an open house fundraiser for its Amandla Center, on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 2 to 6 p.m. at 573 Roanoke Ave. in Riverhead.
Visitors can learn about the ministry’s programs, meet community members and enjoy cultural music. The afternoon begins with refreshments and a plant sale by the Long Island Farmworker Cooperative. Presentations throughout the event will feature the Center for Alliance, Solidarity, and Accompaniment, the Immigrant Legal Rights Project and Voices of Long Island Youth.
Proceeds will support the center’s operations, technology, program transportation and leadership development. General admission tickets and sponsorship packages are available on the event page.
