East End DWI Task Force special patrols and sobriety checkpoints conducted in Riverhead Town last night resulted in five DWI and drug arrests, Riverhead Police announced in a press release this morning.

Police reported the following arrests:

Allen P. Brown, age 23, of Greenport, charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed operation;

Marlon Chacon-Salgado, age 33, of Riverhead, charged with driving while intoxicated;

Mynor Depaz-Javier, age 20, of Cutchogue, charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and aggravated unlicensed operation;

Denzel Faines, age 23, of Riverhead, charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and unlawful possession of marijuana;

Larry C. Willis, age 22, of Calverton, charged with driving while intoxicated.

Further East End DWI Task Force details will take place throughout the holiday season, police said.

“The Riverhead Police Department reminds motorists to use designated drivers, buckle up, use hands-free cell phones be safe drivers as they enjoy the East End,” police said in the press release.
