In collaboration with the Riverhead Chamber of Commerce, The Riverhead Industrial Development Agency invites entrepreneurs, business owners and those interested in demographic and data analytics to a free seminar July 26 from 8 to 9 a.m.
Seminar leaders will teach attendees how to get the most out of using databases and other resources in the Miller Business Center.
Tracy Stark-James, executive director of the IDA said, “Companies pay thousands for this type of information and it is available to everyone for free, right in their backyard.”
Want to know who your competitors are or who else is making your product? Looking for potential customers? Looking for the economic forecast for your industry? Need to know where to expand next? Want to determine how many people buy your product? The answers to all these questions are easily attainable. They’re free and will assist in growing and planning your business – just ask Elizabeth Malafi and Sal DiVincenzo, information specialists who will be the guest speakers from the Miller Business Center.
Open to all businesses on Long Island, the center offers research assistance, access to business databases and educational opportunities.
This introduction will show entrepreneurs and business owners how to get the most out of using the databases and other resources for free in the center’s BIZLINK suite of research databases. Subscription databases such as Mergent, DemographicsNow, ReferenceUSA, First Research and many more….collectively in one place and easily accessible by internet or phone.

Registration is open to the public and networking begins at 8am on Tuesday, July 26th in the SeaStar Ballroom at the Long Island Aquarium and Exhibition Center. Coffee and tea will be served. Space is limited, so please register early at the Riverhead Chamber’s website, or call 631-727-7600.
