A Honda Accord traveling southbound on County Road 51 near the Hampton Hills golf course caught fire this afternoon at about 4:15.
The woman driving the car escaped without injury.
Flanders firefighters found the vehicle fully engulfed in flames upon their arrival at the scene. In addition to Flanders Fire Department, Riverhead Fire Department chiefs, Southampton Town Police and New York State Police also responded to the incident.
