A 47-year-old Riverhead man who was the victim of a hit-and-run on Oliver Street November 5 has died.

Daniel Flammia was walking southbound on Oliver Street at about 6 p.m. when he was struck by an unknown vehicle which left the scene, according to a police incident report obtained today at Riverhead Police headquarters.

Both of his legs were broken in the accident, according to a family member. People responded to his cries for help and called police.

Riverhead Police and Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance responded to the scene. According to a police report, Flammia suffered injuries to his legs and was treated by RVAC and transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center.
