A Salvadoran national has been indicted in the hit and run crash on Flanders Road that killed a 45-year-old resident of Riverside earlier this month, Suffolk County D.A. Ray Tierney announced today.

A Flanders man died after being struck by a vehicle that left the scene last night on Flanders Road near Vail Avenue in Riverside, Southampton Town Police said in a press release this morning.

Riverhead Police charged Corrilyn Rose Meyer, 28, with Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident that caused a death in connection with a crash that killed a 23-year-old Middle Island man on Rt 58 Dec. 30.

Police said the SUV struck a motorcycle at about 5:45 a.m. and left the scene. Responding officers found a man lying in the roadway at County Road 104 near Pine Street, according to an updated report issued by police this afternoon.

A 33-year old man died after being struck by a vehicle that fled the scene in Riverside last night, Southampton Town Police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead Police Department detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the driver who struck pedestrian Daniel Flammia on Oliver Street Nov. 5 and fled the scene. Flammia died of his injuries 12 days later.

The operator of a Harley-Davidson was injured when his bike was struck by an unknown vehicle at about 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 21 on Route 25A in Calverton. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers are offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the hit-and-run driver of the vehicle that hit him.

Daniel Flammia, 47, was walking southbound on Oliver Street at about 6 p.m. when he was struck by an unknown vehicle which left the scene, according to police.

The 17-year-old girl was struck by a dark-colored van on East Meadow Road before the van fled in an unknown direction on Youngs Avenue.

Police are searching for the white pickup truck that fled the scene after hitting a 19-year-old male pedestrian on Herricks Lane at about 6 p.m. tonight.
