More than a hundred people turned out for the Jamesport Fire Department’s annual tree-lighting ceremony and Santa visit last night at the George Young Community Center.
Music teacher Roy Buccola led the children in an energetic session of caroling and dance before the lights on the trio of evergreens outside the community center were switched on.
Santa arrived by fire truck and visited with children in the community center’s main room, dispensing candy canes and listening to Christmas wishes.
Hot chocolate was provided and served by Duffy’s Deli.
