A new art exhibit entitled “Journey of a Plein Air Artist” is on display at the Riverhead Town Hall Gallery. The show features the works of photographer and world traveler Mery Flaherty of Brookhaven.

The exhibition will on display along the Walker Corridor through May 2018. Visitors can view the show during town hall’s open office hours on Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Mery Flaherty is an artist and art educator with an insatiable passion for travel who taught art in the Smithtown Central School District for 33 years where she focused on bringing the sights and sensory experiences of the world to her classroom and to her own art. Now retired, she continues to travel and create art. Her featured photographs include a selection of locations tied together by blue sky and water; from the frozen sea of Greenland and the waterfalls of Iceland in the far north to the warm tropical waters of Tahiti, the falls of Iguazu Brazil and finally to the unforgettable glaciers of Patagonia in Chile and Argentina.

The public is welcome. Admission is free.

All exhibited work is for sale. To purchase, contact East End Arts at 631-727-0900.
