North Fork Plumbing and Heating Supply on West Main Street in Riverhead has been acquired by wholesale/retail chain F.W. Webb.
Established in 1982 by local residents and brothers-in-law, Matt Crean and Tom Goelz, North Fork Plumbing and Heating Supply serves residential and commercial contractors across Long Island from Montauk to Queens.
“North Fork Plumbing and Heating Supply and F.W. Webb are family-run businesses that share a tradition of putting customers first and deep roots in the residential trades,” F.W. Webb president Jeff Pope said in a press release.
“We look forward to putting the power of our supply chain and distribution behind the Riverhead business and meeting the needs of local contractors.”
Crean said the company’s 10 employees are all staying on under new ownership.
F.W. Webb, founded in 1866, operates more than 90 locations in nine states. It now has six locations in New York. The Riverhead store is its first on Long Island. It is the largest wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating, HVAC, refrigeration, pipe, valves and fittings in the Northeast.
