Friends of Riverhead Free Library are accepting online entries for the group’s 53rd annual photo competition now through Aug. 24.
The theme for this year’s show is “What a Wonderful World.” The application, information and terms can be found here. Images created in any form of photography will be accepted for consideration as long as part of the image is photographically created and the photo was taken by the artist on or after September 2017. Photos previously exhibited in a past Friends photo show are disqualified.
Contestants may submit up to five images. Each entry must be accompanied by the official electronic entry form and entry fee of $10 or $5 for youth under 18.
Contestants will be notified of their acceptance on or before Sept. 29. Entries chosen for the exhibit must be mounted on white mattes in simple black frames and shall be delivered in person to the lower level gallery on Sept. 29 between the hours of 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
See rules and additional details here.
A list of entries accepted for exhibition will be published on the library’s website on Sept. 29. The results of the competition will be announced at an Oct. 5 reception for the exhibit.
