A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Court Street and Osborn Avenue just before 8 a.m. this morning sent three people, including a child, to the hospital and briefly shut down both roads just north of West Main Street.
A Chevrolet SUV northbound on Osborn and a Honda sedan eastbound on Court Street collided at the intersection, police said.
The driver and a 14-year-old child passenger in the SUV, and the driver of the Honda were transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center by Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps with injuries police described as non-life-threatening.
The accident is under investigation, police said.
