Peter A. Tollner of Flanders died March 29 at the Kanas Center in Quiogue. He was 67.

He was born Oct. 7, 1951, in Smithtown to Vincent and Helen Tollner. He graduated from Smithtown High School in 1969.

Tollner served in the U.S. Air Force and worked as a real estate broker for Bagshaw Real Estate.

He was a member of the Riverhead VFW and previously was a scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts.

Family members said he was a perpetual “tinkerer,” who enjoyed cooking with his wife and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Kanueng; children Peter (Randi) of Kingston, Michelle (Dirk) Effertz of West Babylon; William (Ashley) of California; siblings, Patricia and Darlene and grandchildren Aden, Paxton, Harley and Zoe.

A funeral Mass will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead. Burial will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.

Arrangements were entrusted to McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead.
