(Updated- 9:30 a.m.) The agenda for a special town board meeting tomorrow morning, originally called by the town supervisor to take up a single resolution ratifying an early retirement incentive agreement with an employee union, has been expanded.
In addition to the memorandum of agreement with the Civil Service Employees Union, the town board will consider the following resolutions at tomorrow’s meeting, which is scheduled for 9 a.m. at Riverhead Town Hall:
- appointing seasonal recreation personnel to the recreation department;
- appointing a seasonal park attendant II to the recreation department;
- amending Resolution 2019-532 to approve an amended professional services agreement and ratifies the signing of that agreement with Mark Conklin;
- authorizing the town clerk to publish and post a request for proposals for preparation of a pattern book for the Town of Riverhead downtown business district.
The meeting will take place in the town hall meeting room.
At its regular meeting last week, the board ratified a memorandum of agreement signed June 16 between town and labor negotiators authorizing a four-year collective bargaining agreement providing for 2.5 percent wage increase over the term of the agreement.
That stipulation referred to the parties’ agreement to a one-time retirement incentive in 2019, and said the terms of the incentive would be part of a separate agreement.
The resolution to be considered tomorrow morning has not yet been made available to the public.
