Vanessa Tennant-Mitchell, age 3, was abducted by Patchita (aka Patricia) Tennant, left, after the child's father was shot multiple times during a domestic dispute last night, according to Southampton Town Police, who issued an Amber Alert this morning.

Update: 11: 30 a.m. : Police have canceled the Amber Alert for Vanessa Tennant-Mitchell, 3, who has been located unharmed. See separate story.

Southampton Town Police have issued an Amber Alert for 3-year-old Vanessa Tennant-Mitchell, who they said was abducted by her mother Patchita Tennant, 42, left, after Tennant shot the child’s father multiple times in a domestic dispute at his home in Flanders. See separate story.

The child is approximately 2 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs about 50 pounds, with braided, black hair and brown eyes was taken from her father’s home last night. She was last seen wearing a red shirt, blue pants, black sneakers.

Patchita (aka Patricia) Tennant is described as a black female, approximately 42 years old, with braided, black hair and brown eyes. She is approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. She was last seen wearing gray sweatsuit.

Tennant is driving a 2018 Hyandai Santa Fe, bearing New York plates HUS7151. Police urge extreme caution should anyone come in contact with her.
