Kroemer Avenue will be closed to traffic this morning for paving.
Riverhead Highway Superintendent George Woodson said the road work will begin about 7 a.m. and continue until about noon.
Motorists should use alternate routes. Vehicles will be allowed access to businesses on Kroemer Avenue.
Woodson urged drivers to use caution, reduce speed and obey instructions of flag crews.
