Regina J. D’Alessandro of Mattituck, died on July 19, 2021 at Kanas Center for Hospice Care in Quiogue. She was 85 years old. 

She was born on Aug. 13, 1935 in Brooklyn to Helen (Knowles) and Samuel Levy.

She was a member of Our Lady of Ostrabrama Roman Catholic Church and the Rosary Society. She was a volunteer with the Thrift Shop for Dominican Sisters. Her hobbies included traveling, the beach, biking, reading and most of all being a wife and mother.

She is survived by her husband Anthony, children Mary Levasseur (Claude) of Eastport, Helen Hulings (Jeff) of Dryden, New York, Leo (Jo-Ann) of Brooklyn, Sam of Astoria and Matthew (Debbie) of Martinsville, New Jersey, grandchildren Jean-Claude, Danielle, Anthony, Christopher, Luke, James, Gabrielle and Ethan and brother Thomas (Ann) of Montvale, New Jersey.

The family received friends on Thursday, July 22 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck. The Liturgy of Christian Burial was held on Friday, July 23 at 12 p.m. at Our Lady of Ostrabrama R.C. Church in Cutchogue, officiated by Father Ryszard Koper. Interment followed at Calverton National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to East End Hospice or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be appreciated. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
