People from the East End who assist children and adults with disabilities or have mental or physical challenges can call 855-RISE-LIFE for assistance from RISE Life Services.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the landscape and only exacerbated the dire need for guidance and services,” said Executive Director of RISE, Charles Evdos “The RISE Help Line will provide a wide breadth of information for many issues.”

The service will connect and provide callers with essential services and assistance for people experiencing mental health and developmental disabled challenges. Families of children who are born with physical and mental challenges can get advice on early intervention and assistance.

“I am so proud of the men and women at RISE who work so selflessly every single day to provide help to those who need it most,” said Evdos. “They are the frontline heroes who know what we can do to meet these needs, and 855-RISE-LIFE will quickly become an invaluable tool for the callers and for our employees and volunteers to identify and fulfill the needs of so many.”

The line will also assist with mental health, OPWDD housing services, clinical services, treatment, Medicaid benefits, crisis help, substance abuse services, therapy, food pantries, support groups and other local and county agencies.

RISE Life Services is the largest owner and operator of group homes and programs for people with special needs on Long Island.
