Efficiently and safely dispose of unwanted, unused or expired medication on Saturday, Oct. 30 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Riverhead Highway Yard at 1177 Osborn Avenue in Riverhead.
Free Naloxone — Narcan — training and kits will also be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. hosted by Peconic Bay Medical Center Northwell Health.
Riverhead residents are encouraged to dispose of their unused medications as well as household chemicals and electronics at this event hosted by Town of Riverhead’s S.T.O.P. program.
For participants that dispose of medications, they can receive a free Deterra Drug Detection Kit.
Face masks are required and participants must remain in their vehicles.
