Another Riverhead High School student has been arrested for allegedly making comments threatening violence at the school, Riverhead Police said Thursday night.

Police said a 15-year- old male student at the high school posted on his Instagram account, “IMMA Send SHOtsflying at the school for XXXX” and ” I HOPE I GET LOCKED UP SO I CAN SEE XXXX AND WE CAN BOTH BEAT THE CASE SO THEN BOTH OF US CAN BOOM THE SCHOOL.”

Riverhead Police were called to the high school Thursday morning and detectives responded to assist with the investigation.

The 15-year-old student was subsequently arrested and charged with one count of Making a Terroristic Threat, Penal Law 490.20 sub 1.

He was processed and transported to Nassau County Juvenile Detention Facility where he will be detained until his arraignment at Suffolk County Superior Court, Youth Part Friday.

A search of the student’s residence for any weapons was conducted, with no weapons being located, police said.

An Extreme Risk Protection Order is currently pending at the time of this release.

The incident follows a similar incident at the school yesterday.

A portion of the juvenile’s Instagram post was redacted to protect the identity of the student arrested Wednesday for similar threats of violence, police said.
