Update- Sept. 27 8 a.m.: Southampton Town Police have identified the pedestrian struck and killed in an accident on Flanders Road Sunday night as Julio Sicay-Perez, 43, of Flanders. The community responded to the request for information in an overwhelming way, police said. This assisted the Southampton Town Police in notifying the victims’ family, police said in a press release this morning.

Southampton Town Police are asking the public’s help to identify a pedestrian struck and killed in an accident at the intersection of Route 105 and Flanders Road in Flanders at about 7:29 p.m. Sunday.

The pedestrian, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was a Hispanic male, possibly 40s-50s, approximately 5’6” and a thin build, police said. He was wearing a Chicago Bulls hat, black jeans, a black sweatshirt, black and red converse sneakers, and was carrying a black backpack. The tattoo in the above picture was located on the pedestrian’s left outer calf, according to a police press release.

The Southampton Police Department Detective Division is looking for any information on the pedestrian to properly notify the next of kin, according to the release.
