The Riverhead Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary held their Christmas party luncheon on Dec. 10 at the Pulaski Grille in Polish Town. Sixteen members Marie Madigan, Kathy Schaefer, Ramona Moore, Michele Lynch, Pat Gadzinski, Barbara Swislosky, Trudy Wold, Barbara Wooten, Mary Dabrowski, Carol Carey, Ann Lennon, Connie Kenter, Becky Collins and newest member Jessica LoPresti attended and enjoyed lunch and Secret Santa. Barbara Wooten made all the ladies in the auxiliary a Maltese cross refrigerator magnet and a Maltese cross bookmark “Why be a Volunteer,” depicting on both 90th anniversary of Ladies Auxiliary 1932-2022 as a memento of a special milestone for the auxiliary.
The First Baptist Church of Riverhead and the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Breakfast Committee invite you to their 38th annual celebration on Monday, Jan. 16 at 8 a.m. This year it is again held at the Hyatt Regency Long Island, 1717 Motor Parkway in Hauppauge. The Flanders Fire Department and FRNCA are holding a blood drive on Saturday, Jan. 7 from 10 am to 2 pm at the Flanders Fire Department, 19 Firehouse Lane, Flanders. All presenting donors will be entered into a weekly raffle for a chance to win an Apple for Google watch and all will receive a McDonald’s voucher. Interested in playing BINGO? The Riverhead Moose Lodge is opened at 5 pm for Moose members and 5:30 pm for non-members in the lower level at 51 Madison Street in Riverhead. Food provided by the Women of the Moose and available for purchase and includes a menu of pizza, hot dogs, egg salad, tuna salad, chicken salad, homemade cake, coffee, tea, snacks and soda.
