Dorothea F. Dabney of Southampton, formerly of Riverhead, died on Jan. 11, 2023 at the Hamptons Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Southampton. She was 99 years old.
She was born on Jan. 6, 1924 in Riverhead to Clifford and Josephine (Brown) Corwin. She worked as a house keeper at the Riverhead Motel. Her hobbies included crocheting and puzzles.
She was predeceased by her husband James and grandson Craig Stewart. She is survived by her children Shirley Brady of Calverton and Mary Hopkins of Riverhead, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive visitors on Sunday, Jan. 15 from 1 to 4 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held during the visitation. Interment will be held on Monday, Jan. 16 at 9:30 a.m. at Calverton National Cemetery.
