Leonard J. Llewellyn of Mattituck, died on Aug. 24, 2023. He was 82.
Llewellyn was a dedicated member of the Mattituck Fire Department for 53 years. His commitment to his community was tragically cut short when he was struck by a car while riding his bicycle to respond to an emergency call.
The family will receive visitors on Monday, Aug. 28, from 7 to 9 p.m. at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck. Firematic Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 29, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery in Cutchogue.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Mattituck Fire Department Rescue Squad.
